Colorpop Parties (“Colorpop,” “we,” “us”) provides face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoo and glitter bar entertainment for parties and events in Santa Clarita Valley, Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County, California. This policy explains what information we collect through colorpopparties.com (the “Site”) and when you contact or book us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out our Book Now / quote request form, you may provide:
- Your name, email address and phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted (email, text, or either);
- How you found us;
- Event details: preferred date and start time, length of service, approximate number of guests, event type, indoor/outdoor venue, event address, city and ZIP code, parking information, the services you are interested in, and any notes you choose to add.
We also collect what you tell us when you call, text or email us (for example (818) 350-3284 or colorpopparties@gmail.com), and we keep the messages we exchange about your booking.
Payments. This Site does not process payments or collect card numbers. Deposits and balances are paid separately by Zelle, Venmo, cash or check, as described in our Booking Policy. Those services handle your payment information under their own privacy policies.
Reviews. If you send us a review or testimonial, we may display it on the Site with your first name (or initials) and city, with your permission. Reviews you post on Google are public on Google.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies, analytics and advertising” below).
2. How we use information
- To respond to your request, prepare a quote, schedule and confirm your event, and communicate with you about it;
- To perform the event, including sharing the details with the artist(s) assigned to it;
- To operate, secure and improve the Site (including preventing spam and abuse);
- To measure how the Site and our advertising perform, and to show our ads to people who may be interested in our services;
- To keep business records and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not send marketing texts or emails unless you ask us to.
3. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies that keep the Site working and secure;
- Analytics (Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager) to understand which pages are used and how visitors find us;
- Advertising and conversion measurement (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram) to measure whether our ads lead to quote requests and to show our ads to relevant audiences. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, pages visited and whether you submitted the quote form, and they may use it for their own purposes under their own policies;
- Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA, where enabled), which analyzes how you interact with a form to tell people from bots.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google Ad Settings, your Facebook/Instagram ad settings, and the industry opt-out pages of the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative. We do not currently respond to ‘Do Not Track’ browser signals, because there is no common standard for them.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us operate the Site and communicate with you, such as our website hosting company (Namecheap), our website and form software (WordPress and Elementor), email delivery, and backup services. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Google and Meta, through the analytics and advertising tools described above.
- Our artists and team members, who receive the event details needed to perform your booking.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Under some state privacy laws, allowing advertising partners to collect information from our Site for advertising may be considered “sharing” or “selling.” You can opt out using the choices in Section 3 or by contacting us (Section 9).
5. Photos and videos of events
We may photograph face paint designs and balloon creations at events for our website and social media. We only show identifiable photos of a child with a parent or guardian’s permission, and we will remove a photo on request.
6. Children’s privacy
Our Site is meant for parents, guardians and event organizers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. How long we keep information
We keep quote requests and booking communications for as long as needed to provide the service and for our business and tax records, generally up to 3 years, and then delete or anonymize them unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including HTTPS encryption on the Site and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and how to contact us
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and, where the law provides, to opt out of the sharing of your information for advertising. California residents have these rights under California law, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them. To make a request, email colorpopparties@gmail.com or call (818) 350-3284. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days).
10. Links to other sites
The Site links to third-party sites, for example Google (to leave a review) and social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and we encourage you to check back periodically.
